MIP of alcohol help!!?

I was give a notice to appear in court for possession of alcohol by an underaged person. my court date is next month and im looking for an attorney/ lawyer for me. If I am not about to go to court on the igned day is it possible to have my attorney/lawyer represent me through notorization? Also what are the best/worst scenerio that can happen? This is my first time ever in trouble with the law. Also do I need to sign up for a drug/alcohol court prior to my court date or afterwards (appointed by the judge to replace other consequences). Any advice will be helpful, thanks.
