How can I prevent further and rapid progression of adrenal disease in domestic ferrets?
I'm pretty sure my ferret has adrenal disease, he is showing all of the signs. I have read many articles and the big thing that is striking my attention is the aggression due to increased testosterone. This is my sure indication because he was NEVERRRR aggressive, along with the hair loss on his behind and bad itching. It is hard for me to monitor his appetite because I have 3 others that share a cage with him, they have 2 dishes and all eat at different times. I also noticed him back into the corner and look like he was pooping normal and then it was very small, this shows the constipation symptom and trouble urinating. I just would like to know how I can slow down the progression and production of the hormones secreted from the gland when a ferret is sick with this, I know there are ways but I wanted to see if anyone knew good ones, I don't want my little one to go yet and I can't afford the surgery. Thank you if you are the one that read this.
